Volunteers in the spotlight against Stade de Reims

This Sunday, March 21, 600 Alsatian volunteers and 100 volunteers from the Marne were invited to the match against the Reims stadium.

As every year, Racing wanted to pay tribute to football enthusiasts who invest themselves throughout the year within their clubs. 600 volunteers from Alsace and 100 volunteers from Marne were invited to this “volunteer match”. On this occasion, one euro per ticket sold during this meeting was donated to the Ligue du Grand-Est du Football.

The volunteers were welcomed from 1:00 p.m. by Marc Keller, President of the Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, Albert Gemmrich, President of the Grand Est Football League, François Werner, Vice-President of the Grand-Est Region and Jean-Pierre Caillot, President of the Stade de Reims in one of the stadium’s lounges. They then took a break for the traditional souvenir photo before sharing a convivial moment together around a glass of friendship and tarts flambées. The 700 volunteers also took advantage of the many activities offered and the match against the Stade de Reims.

Marc Keller, President of Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace:

“It is important for us to welcome volunteers to the Meinau every year. Their investment, their passion and their energy make them a major element in the life of a club. They are essential to the organization and animation of French football. “
