New York With a tailwind from company balance sheets, the US stock exchanges rose at the end of the week. The Dow Jones index of standard values closed 2.5 percent higher on Friday at 31,082 points. The Dow rose above 31,000 points for the first time in four weeks. For the week he posted a plus of 4.9 percent – also thanks to the significant gains on Monday and Tuesday.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq advanced 2.3 percent to 10,859 points. The broad S&P 500 gained 2.4 percent to 3752 points. The third-quarter earnings season has been better-than-expected so far, prompting analysts to raise earnings expectations for S&P 500 companies to 3.1% from 2.8% previously.
