Warm weather threatens a blood bottleneck centralplus

Switzerland is threatened with a bottleneck in blood reserves. The beautiful weather has kept many people from donating blood in recent weeks, writes the Swiss Red Cross SRC. The blood reserves are critically low. The SRK interregional blood donation is therefore calling on the population to donate blood before the summer holidays. In the summer it is particularly difficult to get enough blood. Many donors are then on vacation. The backlog must therefore be made up now. With this goal in mind, the Red Cross has posted over 400 additional appointments on the blood donation website. And hopes for many willing donors. (swisstxt)
