Warriors win for Thompson and celebrate Celtics, Bucks and Clippers

On a new NBA night, the victories of the Warriors (propelled by Klay Thompson), Celtics, Bucks and Clipers stood out.

Klay Thompson directed the victory of the Golden State Warriors over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday with 42 points and twelve triples, in a day of NBA in which the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Los Angeles Clippers in their first game after the official signing of Kyrie Irving by the Dallas Mavericks.

Without Stephen Curry, who will be out for several weeks due to an injury to his left leg that partially affected his ligaments, the Warriors they sank the Thunder with 26 triples, twelve of them the work of Klay Thompson.

Klay thus joined Curry as the only players in NBA history capable of adding such a record twice. The absolute record for triples in the American league belongs to Thompson himself (14 in 2018), followed by Zach LaVine’s thirteen in 2019 and Curry’s in 2016.

It was the second consecutive victory for the Warriors, who occupy the seventh position in the West (28-26).

In their first game without Irving and with the well-known loss due to injury to Kevin Durant, the Nets they surrendered to the Clippers despite the 47 points of an extraordinary Cam Thomas.

Thomas, at 21, became the second youngest player in history to link two games adding 40 or more points, after LeBron James and ahead of Kevin Durant.

For the Clippers, Paul George contributed 29 points while Kawhi Leonard signed 24.

Without Irving or Doncic, the Mavericks sealed a solid victory in the field of Jazz led by 29 points from Josh Green and Jaden Hardy, on a night in which Dwith Powell signed a double double of twelve points and 16 rebounds.

The Mavericks made official hours before the start of the game the arrival of Irving and Markieff Morris in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney Smith and three draft picks.

The Texans will return to the track this Wednesday in Los Angeles against the Clippers, in which it could mark the debut of Irving.

Without the Spanish Ricky Rubio, who is not playing the games on consecutive days to avoid overloads after his cross injury, the Cavaliers they triumphed forcefully in the field of Wizards with an excellent performance as a team, led by 23 points from Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen.

Donovan Mitchell contributed 21 points for some Cavaliers who are fifth in the East (34-22). The Wizards, without Kyle Kuzma, suffered their third straight loss.

Los Celtics, leaders of the Eastthey left behind the defeat at home against the Suns with a victory in the field of the Pistons pushed by the double double of 34 points and eleven rebounds from Jayson Tatum.

Derrick White also excelled, with 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists; and Robert Williams, who sealed a double double of fifteen points and fifteen rebounds.
