At 7 p.m., the heat reaches its peak of intensity with values between 34 and 37°C from Midi-Pyrénées to the Grand-Est via the Massif Central and Burgundy. In Strasbourg in Alsace and Sancoins in the Cher, it was 38 ° C. These temperatures are very close to the records for the month of June. In the next few hours, the temperatures will drop but quite slowly because of the still sensitive southerly wind.

At 4 p.m. the hottest period of the day, until 7 p.m. For the moment, the temperatures have not changed much since 2:30 p.m., “ceilinging” around 35 ° C, with peaks at 37 ° C in the plain of Alsace. It is possible that the situation will no longer change much because the mass of air still very warm at altitude present in the east and center of France has lost 2 to 3°C since this morning, which could now limit the rise temperatures that are already at record levels for the month of June.

At 2:30 p.m., the very strong heat spread from the Center-East to the North-East. We note 37°C in Grenoble and Strasbourg, 36°C in Vichy and Colmar as well as in Colmar and Villefranche-sur-Saône or Auxerre and 35°C in Bourges, Lons-le-Saunier and Dijon. Monthly heat records will be threatened and perhaps reached in the plain of Alsace this afternoon.
