Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – After a quiet start to the week with summery temperatures, thunderstorms are expected in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland on Tuesday. First of all, it was cloudy on Sunday and some showers were also possible, the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Saturday in Offenbach. The summer temperatures reach 25 to 29 degrees. At the start of the week on Monday there will be no precipitation and it will be even warmer with up to 31 degrees. According to the meteorologists, dense cloud fields will appear on Tuesday night and there could be the first thunderstorms. On Tuesday it was partly cloudy with occasional showers and thunderstorms. However, the temperatures remain summery with maximum values of 25 to 30 degrees.
