Essen (dpa / lnw) – Sunday brought the people in North Rhine-Westphalia again the danger of storms. At noon, the German Meteorological Service issued the first level 3 warnings, and east of Dortmund warnings were also issued against level 4 extreme storms. There should be violent thunderstorms with heavy rain and punctual amounts of water of up to 50 liters per square meter per hour. The experts predicted stormy gusts with hail.
In the night to Monday it should therefore continue to rain widespread, but then the thunderstorms should subside. Tuesday will be sunnier and dry again. However, showers in between must still be expected throughout the week.
