Offenbach (dpa/lhe) – The thick winter clothes can stay at home on Monday: People in Hesse expect very mild temperatures at the beginning of the week. On Monday it can get up to 19 degrees warm in the afternoon, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD). However, the weather becomes increasingly stormy throughout the day. The morning also starts cloudy and rainy. During the day the weather loosens up and there are only isolated showers. Towards the evening it is supposed to rain again. There may also be isolated thunderstorms in the south of the country. The temperatures cool down to 6 degrees on Tuesday night.
But the mild temperatures do not last. According to the DWD, the temperatures will reach a maximum of between 9 and 12 degrees on Tuesday and between 5 and 9 degrees on Wednesday. On Tuesday it should be cloudy and rainy again and only occasionally loosen up. Occasionally there may be thunderstorms and strong to stormy gusts are also possible. In the night to Wednesday, snow is to be expected down to the lowlands and rain and sleet during the day.
