Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – Rain and thunderstorms are to be expected in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland in the coming days. After a cheerful start to the day, individual showers and thunderstorms are possible from Tuesday evening, as the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach announced on Tuesday. The maximum values are between 24 and 27 degrees. The south-east in particular is affected by showers and thunderstorms, which are expected to spread north over the course of Wednesday night. Locally there could be heavy rain and stormy gusts.
On Wednesday, the meteorologists are expecting clear and sunny weather in the west and changing clouds in the east. At first it could rain a little there and occasionally showers, but from midday it will mostly stay dry. The maximum values are 24 to 28 degrees, in the higher mountains 22 degrees. According to the weather report, Thursday will initially be sunny or slightly cloudy and dry, before more clouds appear around noon. Showers and sometimes strong thunderstorms are possible, especially in the west. There could be strong to stormy gusts. Highs of 28 to 32 degrees are expected.
