Mainz/Saarbrücken (dpa/lrs) – The week starts in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland with thunderstorms and rain. The German Weather Service (DWD) expects thunderstorms on Monday afternoon, especially in the southeast half of the country. Even heavy heavy rains are not excluded. There are also stormy gusts and hail. In the evening, however, the weather conditions calmed down again. The night remains rain-free. During the day the temperatures rise to 21 to 26 degrees – in the mountains it will be around 19 degrees. At night it cools down to 14 to 9 degrees and in the valleys of the Eifel to 5 degrees.
According to the DWD, there can also be more showers on Tuesday during the day. In the evening thunderstorms are expected again from the south. Heavy rain is expected on Wednesday night, with some thunderstorms possible again. The storm subsided on Wednesday. It can still rain locally, the afternoon will probably remain rain-free.
