From Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August 2020, 550 police officers are mobilized on the roads of the Parisian agglomeration for reinforced road checks.
During the weekend of August 15, 2020, 550 police officers are deployed on the roads of Ile-de-France, Paris but also in the departments of Hauts-de-Seine, in Seine-Saint-Denis, in Val-de-Marne, in Seine-et-Marne, in Essonne and in Val-d’Oise.

1,494 tickets issued last weekend
550 police officers deployed at 117 checkpoints throughout the greater Paris area: this is the system put in place by the police Department to “secure the privileged crossing points of users as well as the roads and motorways serving their various destinations”, indicates the prefecture in its information point.
Particular attention will be paid to offenses linked to dangerous behavior (blood alcohol, drugs, speeding, crossing red lights, using a cell phone, wearing earphones, not wearing gloves for motorized two-wheelers).
During the weekend of August 7 to 9, 2020, the deployment of a similar device enabled 3,475 vehicles to be checked. In all, 69 offenses were recorded and 1,494 tickets issued.
