Wels-Unterleithen industrial park continues to grow | Nachrichten.at

Four years ago, WBA (Wels Betriebsansiedelungs-GmbH) acquired a six-hectare site on Leopold-Spitzer-Strasse (Unterleithen) between the A25 and Stadlhofstrasse. The settlement successes can already be seen in this industrial development area in the north of Wels. In June, Wirtschaftsservice was able to announce five and six companies that had acquired land.

The most recent addition is the traditional company “OBL Systemvertrieb GmbH” from Wels, which is moving from its current location in Rainerstrae to the new industrial park. The focus of the company with more than 80 years of tradition is the weighing and packaging technology of a wide variety of products such as food and feed, seeds, chemical products and renewable raw materials such as wood pellets. The company intends to invest around 1.5 million euros; a bread section, a workshop area and a hall with expansion options are planned. “This investment also creates the opportunity for further growth, since we no longer have any reserves in the company building that is currently in use!”, Says Managing Director Claus Bruckschweiger.

The company Compriband-Dichtungen, a specialist in sealing tapes in the building and construction industry, will move from Traun to the new location in Wels. The start of construction of the project with offices, workshop and a 900 m2 hall is to take place in October, the number of employees from currently 15 will be doubled.

The first two companies to opt for the industrial park were the globally active Ensinger Group, which relocated the Linz site to Wels on an area of around 3,700 square meters, and the Tecti Group. Sikla Austria, a specialist in fastening systems, is relocating its headquarters for Austria and Eastern Europe to Wels on a plot of around 16,000 square meters in the new building site.
