Werder Bremen: Oliver Burke starts swimming in the dry run – Bundesliga

Everything new, everything different!

First Werder session on the pitch in Zell am Ziller (Austria) and the premiere for newcomers Jens Stage and Oliver Burke (both 25) in training shirts. And the Scot (comes from England second division team Sheffield) had his little problems…

During a dry run without the ball (starting, moving), the offensive man had difficulty understanding coach Ole Werner’s instructions and simply ran in the wrong direction. The Klops made teammates, coaches and almost 100 fans in the Park Stadium laugh.

In order for Burke (2016/17 at Leipzig) to understand the tasks better in every respect, the Scot will have to improve his language skills. Werner: “Oliver still knows a few chunks from the Leipzig time. However, the language on the pitch will continue to be German.”

As an Austrian, Marco Friedl masters this almost perfectly. During training, the defender tried his hand at goalkeeping and saved long-range shots from Marvin Ducksch.
