Knollsy, whose real name is Mark Knolls, earned hero status among Hammers fans when he battled hooded AZ fans who attacked the away stands at AFAS Stadium.

West Ham had just booked their place in the Europa Conference League final when the attack occurred, with disturbing scenes showing players getting involved while their families sat in the stands.

But any advance towards them was stopped by Knollsy, who rebuffed dozens of hooded fans. He received a ripped shirt and a black eye for his troubles.

Upon his return to the London stadium for West Ham’s next game against Leeds, the 58-year-old was given a standing ovation and then serenaded in a pub that looked on the verge of tears.

He later received tickets to the club final, and now an action figure has even been made in tribute.

The article information stated: “Knollsy custom figure. I was inspired to make this custom, hand-painted figurine with unique packaging to match.

“It took about 28 hours [hours] to complete and it will look great on the screen. It’s completely unique.”

With £6,000 in the creators’ bank account, it’s hard not to imagine that a relaunch may be on the way…
