What are the signings that Chelsea would seek to close with 235 million available?

After being the great champion of the UEFA Champions League and the Club World Cup, Chelsea started a really irregular season. On the one hand, the team led by Thomas Tuchel could not get fully into the fight for the title in the English Premier League and went unnoticed through the most important continental competition of all.

As a consequence of this, the questions fell on the figure of the coach and also of the members of the squad. In addition, it was confirmed that proper names such as those of Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen will not continue once their contracts end, at the same time as other referents such as Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso they would follow the same path.

Therefore, the whole of the English capital could be entering a stage of renewal, at least partially. In that sense, it recently faced a transition process given its sale to the Todd Boehly/Clearlake consortium, so it will have a significant amount of money to invest in the next transfer market.

Without going any further, in the last few hours, the British media outlet ‘The Telegraph’ indicated that Chelsea will have nothing more and nothing less than €235 million to go out to the pass market with a very fat wallet. In that sense, there are eight major goals for the team led by the German Tuchel.

While there would be no major changes in goal, there will be a major renovation in defense. As several pieces will go, many replacements will also arrive. In the midst of this panorama, the four big objectives of Chelsea are Jules Koundé, from Seville, Pau Torres, from Villarreal, José María Giménez, from Atlético de Madrid, and Josko Gvardiol, from RasenBallsport Leipzig.

On the midfield side, things are not so bad at the moment and the outstanding pieces would continue to be available. Likewise, Chelsea pointed their cannons towards two potential signings that would represent a very important outlay of money: Aurélien Tchouaméni, from Mónaco, and Declan Rice, from West Ham United.

Finally, the activity moves to the offense of the Blues, where they are aware that Romelu Lukaku could return to Inter Milan sooner rather than later. Under that orbit, one of the chosen ones in case that happens is Raheem SterlingManchester City winger, while the other is Ivan PerisicCroatian of his own Italian club.
