The world's largest airport in terms of passenger numbers is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and the second airport is in Beijing. Both have dozens of millions more passengers each year than their nearest rivals.
It may come as a surprise, then, that a new airport, to be opened later this year, which according to officials is the world's largest terminal housed in a single building, is also located in the Chinese capital.
This gives Beijing a breathtaking capacity and surpasses the six airports in London.
