Sobyanin proposed the introduction of digital passes in all regions
The system of digital passes should be distributed throughout Russia. This proposal was made by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who is also the head of the working group of the State Council on the fight against coronavirus.
- Sobyanin believes that this will help optimize the fight against the spread of infection and control the movement of citizens, including “on air transport, rail, intercity and inter-regional bus transportation.”
- Thus, the authorities will be able to track the movement of citizens without breaking interregional ties.
- In Moscow and Moscow region, the digital pass system has been operating since April 15. A digital pass is required for everyone who travels in the metropolitan area by personal and public transport. Pedestrians do not need it yet.
