Andor is showing promise so far, particularly with planetary landscapes and cinematic video quality. It’s natural to wonder how much money it costs to earn each episode. It’s also helpful to compare it to other new shows like Rings of Power to see which studios are putting their money wisely. Here’s everything you need to know What is the budget for each Andor episode?,
How much is Star Wars Endor per episode?
The exact budget for each episode of Endor has not been disclosed. ComicBook and LRM Online estimate the budget at between $15 million and $25 million. If true, Andor will require less than half of Rings of Power’s budget, which Amazon says is $60 million per episode. It’s important to note that Amazon had to pay royalties on Warner Bros. and JRR Tolkien’s assets. Both shows are visually stunning, but Endor has arguably spent his money wisely.
How does Andor compare to other Star Wars series?
Endor has the same budget as The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi. That’s surprising because the show feels like a movie, but the end crew got creative with their budget. The main difference in using the budget for Endor is that it uses beautiful locations around the world to represent the different planets. The Scottish Highlands, for example, are strongly characterized by their rolling hills and lakes. The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi use CGI in a studio for Tatooine landscapes – it gives them a more artificial quality.
