WhatsApp allows you to mute individual users during group calls ≫ Ciberninjas

WhatsApp has added a number of new features to its arsenal, including muting individual users during group calls.

The possibility is useful when someone forgets to do it himself or when there are several interlocutors in the same room, creating an echo effect.

Group communication hosts on popular services like Zoom and Microsoft Teams can mute individual or collective members, but for the first time, WhatsApp offered all users in a group the option to mute everyone else.

Also in the WA it became possible to send messages to individual participants in group calls: To note something in a general conversation or to send a joke that others do not like.

Finally, WhatsApp now notifies when new members connect to start a group call.

The new version of WhatsApp also includes other features that previously appeared in the beta version: Now the user can select contacts, see their photos and profile information, as well as the time of their last appearance on the platform.

Remember, earlier this week the head of WhatsApp Meta company Mark Zuckerberg revealed that in the future it will be possible to transfer chat history from Android to iPhone.
