WhatsApp is working on a feature that allows businesses to create orders directly within their chats with customers, available in a future app update for Android, iOS and Desktop.

According to a screenshot posted by WABetaInfo, a new chat shortcut called “Orders” will be available right inside WhatsApp chats. With this button, companies will be able to quickly create new orders for their customers.

Tapping on the orders shortcut brings up a new section called “Create Order”. In the new tab, it allows you to add items to the order, its quantity, and it will automatically calculate the subtotal. When the order is ready, it will be automatically shared in the chat from which the order was created.

Initially, this tool for businesses will be available to businesses in a future version of the WhatsApp desktop app. Although, the messaging service is also planning to release the same feature on Android and iOS operating systems in the future. Highlighting that this function will be limited to company accounts.
