Which bikes have UDH, the universal dropout?

In order to use the new SRAM Eagle AXS drivetrain, it is necessary to have the universal dropout, abbreviated UDH (Universal Rear Derailleur Hanger), introduced in 2019, as reported in our news.

If you bought a new bike from 2019 to present, you are most likely already using UDH without even knowing it. In fact, the list of frame manufacturers that mount it is very long, as can be seen on this site.

Beyond the new transmission, the UDH is very comfortable for two other reasons: it can be found in every shop, online or physical, and if it takes a blow from the front, it rotates backwards absorbing part of the energy. In theory this could save you the change, but it’s not always the case.
