It’s official ! Romain Lattron is the new coach of the U17 Nationaux of OGC Nice. After Johann Louvel, who takes over the U19s, this training specialist comes to integrate the organization chart of the Nice academy after many seasons at FBBP 01. Despite his young age (31 years), he already has about fifteen years of coaching behind. He made his first classes at the US Vendôme then at the IS Accordinggey (Burgundy) where he managed the small categories (pre-training) as manager of the club project and educator.

But it is subsequently that will make a name for itself in French training. First of all at ASPTT Dijon. Upon his arrival in 2013, he will take charge of the implementation of several projects such as the opening of a high school sports section. At the same time, he also manages all the monitoring of the training center. From internship to recruitment, including educational support. Also a coach, he will have enabled the U17s to access the National Championship twice (2014 and 2016). A multi-task trainer who leaves ASPTT Dijon with a huge amount of experience.

FBBP 01, the master trainer

After 6 seasons in the Dijon region, Romain Lattron joined the FBBP01 in 2017 after obtaining his DESJEPS. And in his first season with the U19 DH, he achieved a historic feat by reaching the round of 16 of the Gambardella Cup. A first in the history of the Bresse institution. Well aware of his talent, the club offered him to become technical and educational coordinator of 11-a-side football (U14 to reserve) from the following season. The results of the Bresse formation were more than satisfactory two years after his appointment as manager. In 2019, Bourg-en-Bresse managed a double climb (U17-U19 Nationals) and obtained a second place in Regional 1 for the reserve, which narrowly missed the climb in N3.

With an excellent reputation in the Rhône-Alpes region where he is considered one of the best trainers, he signed a CDI in his club in July 2020. Back on the U19 bench this year, the young coach has experienced , like most of its counterparts, a season shortened by the Covid-19. Here he is, a new educator at the Académie des Aiglons, his first experience in a professional Ligue 1 club.
