Loud deadline Report that has broken the story is the exciting news of Gunn's reinstatement, at least internally, no new development. The decision was apparently made months ago when Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn held several conversations with the contested director to discuss how he might return.

After his modest shelling Gunn remained silent in public, although the reaction of the fans became more and more apocalyptic. (Dave Bautista, a true friend or friend, if any, made several public statements criticizing Disney for the decision to dismiss him, and sometimes he was so angry at his criticism that some asked him his Future with the company, too.) But apparently Gunn's clear, conciliatory response to the controversy – and also the public apology he offered – seemed to convince Horn that he had voiced the company's false reputation.

Now it seems his ability to keep the bridges from burning has brought him the best of all possible worlds – a relationship with DC and Marvel Studios and big projects for both.
