Wiener Städtische is once again the “Top Training Company” in Vienna

For the third time in a row, the Wiener Städtische Landesdirektion Wien was awarded the “Top Apprenticeship Company” seal of quality for the high quality of its apprenticeship training.

Vienna (OTS) Promoting young talent has top priority at Wiener Städtische. The company attaches great importance to the comprehensive, well-founded training of its apprentices. This commitment and the high quality of the training is once again officially confirmed: for the third time in a row, the Wiener Städtische Landesdirektion Wien can look forward to the “Top Training Company” award. The award was presented on November 16th in the Vienna City Hall. “Today’s apprentices are tomorrow’s insurance professionals. It is very important to us not only to give them the necessary tools for their professional careers, but also to support them as a reliable partner.”so Gerhard HopfgartnerProvincial Director of Wiener Städtische in Vienna. “I am very pleased that this commitment has once again been recognized!”

The seal of quality has been awarded since 2014 by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Industrialists, the Federation of Trade Unions, the Vienna Chamber of Labor and the City of Vienna. Wiener Städtische has been a “top training company” from the very beginning and received the award in 2014, and received the award again in 2018. In order to be voted “Top Training Company”, companies must meet a comprehensive catalog of criteria. The Wiener Städtische Landesdirektion Vienna stands out above all through free training measures, bonuses for outstanding success and the intensive support of the apprentices by the trainers.

Dual training for sustainable success

Wiener Städtische is one of the largest apprentice trainers in the industry in Austria. The company is currently training 150 apprentices, almost 40 of them in the federal capital. In recent years, several hundred young people have successfully completed their apprenticeship at the company, more than a third with “excellent” or “good” success. Anyone who decides to do an apprenticeship at Wiener Städtische benefits from practical training: every apprentice is accompanied by a mentor from day one. These experts support the apprentices throughout their apprenticeship and prepare them for everyday working life.

A new approach to recruiting using the “Check the Apprenticeship” job game

Since last year, Wiener Städtische has been using a digital game to recruit young people for apprenticeships. The “Check the Teaching” job game is based on the gamification concept and consists of three missions in which young people can test their professional competence, willingness to learn and customer orientation. Interested parties can try their hand as an insurance consultant and receive important information about Wiener Städtische as an employer. If you are convinced after the game and have collected enough points, you will be taken directly to the online application. The game can be accessed at
