With the traffic calming, “the urban space should become more attractive,” according to a statement from the Winterthur building department on Tuesday.
The “Stadthausstrasse without through traffic” project was preceded by a long-term, intensive political process. An appeal against the traffic order was ultimately received, which the administrative court rejected. The signaling and marking adjustments will begin on Friday.
