The Liga MX presented its new pink ball as part of its campaign for the fight against breast cancer. Said ball, with which the league matches will be played, will in turn raise funds for the treatment of people who suffer from this disease.

This Wednesday, the president of Liga MX, Mike Arriolathe president of Foundation Council of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Ana Carolina Sepúlveda, and the director of the sports brand Voit, Jose Carlos Elizondogave a press conference to announce the campaign.

The goal is to raise awareness of the breast cancerwhich is the leading cause of death by disease among women in the country.

For this, the new official ball of Mexican soccer has been presented, “Pink Tracer”, which will be put up for sale in stores in order to raise funds to be used for the treatment of breast cancer patients, as well as in detection and prevention of this disease.

This ball will be used throughout the month of October both in official matches of Liga MX, Liga MX Femenil, as well as the MX Expansion League. Likewise, the teams belonging to Mexican soccer will participate in the campaign by placing emblems or badges in pink on their clothing.

In addition, the IMSS Foundation, in turn, announced the donation of 5,000 mammograms, same that will be distributed among each of the cities in which the Liga MX teams participate.

“Faced with the challenge, we celebrate the commitment of you can from IMSS Foundation, of the League and Expansion clubs, in executing tangible efforts that can be touched to prevent and identify cancer in time. The teams have been a fundamental base to expand the message; while the volume of prevention actions is greater, the number of days of healthy life will be greater”, Mikel Arriola, president of the league.
