Binter will implement the largest flight schedule in its history during the next summer, offering around 650,000 seats on more than 45 routes connecting the Canary Islands to the Iberian Peninsula, Balearic Islands, Azores, Cape Verde and North Africa. Operations are carried out with a fleet of 27 ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprops, as well as 5 Embraer E195-E2. This will represent a 12% growth compared to the summer of 2022 and, in turn, will triple the capacity offered in the summer of 2019, before the start of the pandemic. During peak summer, up to 220 weekly flights will be operated out of the Canary Islands.
In March, Binter will inaugurate a new route between Gran Canaria and Granada, which will have a frequency of two weekly flights, on Mondays and Thursdays. The focus on the Balearic Islands will be reinforced with a new service to Ibiza, which will be complemented by six weekly flights to Majorca and the new Easter flights to Menorca. Vigo will become its first daily destination on the peninsula, adding a flight on Tuesdays. Together with the three weekly flights to La Coruña, in Galicia, they will operate up to ten weekly flights.
The airline will also reinforce flights to Ponta Delgada and Isla de Sal, maintaining the seasonal route to Fez and direct flights connecting Madeira to Marrakech, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Tenerife South. Reinforcing the route with Ponta Delgada will make it possible to expand the offer of flights in codeshare with SATA to New York, Boston and Toronto.
With the implementation of the Embraer E195-E2 jets, Binter will offer greater comfort and connectivity to its customers, as well as lower operating costs and better fuel efficiency. This will allow the airline to launch the largest summer flight schedule in its history and expand its route network.
