With “Music in the Palaces of Asunción” they will honor Roland Rasmussen

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Cultural Center of the Republic El Cabildo through the National Congress Symphony Orchestra (OSN) will offer a tribute to the master of art, Roland Rasmussen, this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bicentennial House of the Theater.

The tribute will be in the First Concert of the Cycle “Music in the Palaces of Asunción”, this Tuesday 29, at 19:30, at the Casa Bicentenario del Teatro, site May 25, 993 almost USA.

The artistic proposal is called, Amalgama – An encounter between tradition and innovation, and for the occasion there is Regina Yugovich, as guest director. Works by H. Biber, A. Vivaldi and G. Regina Yugovich served as concertina and first violin of the OSIC. In 2014 he entered Enrico Gatti’s Baroque Violin class at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan (Italy), where he graduated in 2017. That same year he began a Master’s Degree in Baroque Violin, in Olivia Centurioni’s class, at the Guido Cantelli Conservatory of Novara (Italy), completing his studies with honors in 2021. In the academic year 2019-2020 he receives a scholarship to carry out an Erasmus Master Exchange at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles (Belgium) under teaching by Mira Glodeanu and Benoit Douchy, which concluded successfully.

The program to be developed is made up of works by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741): Concerto in G minor, for flute, oboe and bassoon F. XII n. 4., by Montserrat Duarte, flute; Fanny Gamarra, oboe and Hilaria Ferrari, bassoon. Later, by Gilardo Gilardi (1889-1963): pentaphone quintet, with the participation of Montserrat Duarte, flute; Aldo López, oboe; Enrique Ríos, clarinet; Hilaria Ferrari, bassoon and Arturo Benítez, horn. For the end, the work Heinrich Ignaz Biber (1644-1704): Battalia a 9.

Tribute to Roland Rasmussen

Honored by the Congress of the Nation with the highest cultural distinction, the Master of Art Roland Rasmussen, recently passed away at the age of 79. He served as director of the Bicentennial House of the “Edda de los Ríos” Theater, after his brilliant artistic career, first in dance, then in art applied to the performing arts, developed mainly in Germany until 2008. He was also director of the Ballet National of Paraguay. Last year he made a retrospective exhibition of his 40 years of work, with part of his costumes and graphic materials. His passion for art and for Paraguay, always kept him present, in periodic trips taking advantage of his vacations, giving classes and workshops in institutions in our country.
