Krefeld Compared to other cities in North Rhine-Westphalia, Krefeld is in the middle. Mönchengladbach and Duisburg write better numbers for the incidence values, but the Viersen district is tearing upwards.
(ped) Krefeld has slipped back below the 500 mark. For Wednesday, July 20, as of midnight, the Robert Koch Institute indicated a seven-day corona incidence of 493.3. The day before, the number of new infections within seven days was 510.9 per 100,000 inhabitants. That’s below the national average of 597.9. For comparison: The state capital Düsseldorf has an incidence value of 548.5. Mönchengladbach is below Krefeld with 449.4, as is Duisburg with 378.1. For the Viersen district, the RKI gives a seven-day value of 708.1.
The situation in the hospitals has not changed significantly: 38 people are still being treated in hospital because of Corona, two in the intensive care unit, and one person has to be ventilated. There are no new deaths.
The municipal health department reported a total of 262 new corona infections on Wednesday. This brings the total number of infections to 73,537. “Arithmetically, 70,897 people are considered recovered. According to this, 2,358 people are currently infected, the day before there were 2,096 people. Two new corona infections are reported from the day care centers.
The vaccination center in the Seidenweberhaus, Theaterplatz 1, offers first, second and booster vaccinations. It is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vaccination there is still free. In addition, the Vaccination Center Krefeld offers a mobile vaccination campaign on various dates and locations from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The following mobile vaccination campaigns are planned for this week: on Wednesday, July 20th, in the parking lot at the zoo, on Thursday, July 21st, at the Funzel youth facility on the park meadow and on Friday, July 22nd, in St. Norbertus am Frankenring 108
