Great means were deployed to try to save a person who fell overboard, this Friday, November 25, at the Biarritz lighthouse. Around 5:30 p.m., the rescuers moved to the VVF beach, in Anglet, where the strong currents carried away this woman of about 40 years. In these surroundings, his body was finally spotted shortly before 6 p.m.

For about 5 p.m., the Écu 64 helicopter from the gendarmerie had been flying over the area to guide the nautical rescuers of the firefighters, who arrived with a jet-ski. A passerby called the police a few minutes before. He described seeing a woman jump into the raging ocean. The Biarritz police station quickly requested the help of the gendarmerie’s aerial means.
