A Texas Walmart customer was reportedly approached earlier this month by a woman who wanted to buy her baby.
The young mother was shopping when Rebecca Taylor allegedly approached her, offering her $250,000 in exchange for the baby doll. The customer flatly refused, then waited for the woman to leave the store before going out.
Ms. Taylor, however, would have approached her a second time, in the parking lot, this time offering her $500,000 for her baby.
She also allegedly threatened to steal the child from her if she did not agree to sell it to him, before promptly leaving the parking lot.
Police arrested Ms Taylor within days of the incident.
She faces charges of selling and buying a child, and faces 10 years in prison.
