Worms: Rumble slides to Nintendo Switch with new content

by archyw

Worms: Rumble, the first installment in the classic series that trades turn-based action for real-time antics, will be coming to Nintendo Switch next week. This was just revealed in the Nintendo E3 stream.

Although the game won’t be released for eight days, you don’t have to wait to buy it. Pre-orders have now started on the eShop and come with a 25% discount. So if there’s no doubt that you want this game, it pays to get there early.

The Switch release of Worms: Rumble comes with a free content update, which adds the Spaceport Showdown level. In this, gravity is randomly difficult, so you have to adjust your tactics on the fly. Following on from this, a paid DLC called The Spaceworm and Alien will also be released. This gives you six new skins, two banners and two emotes for €4.99.

Are you a fan of physical copies? Then you have to wait a little longer. On July 13, the Switch version of Worms: Rumble will receive a physical release, although it will not contain a cartridge but a download code.
