A ministerial committee to agree with a private company to maintain pesticide spraying aircraft and qualify pilots »

Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Agriculture revealed its procedures for maintaining pesticide spraying aircraft and qualifying pilots and technicians, while announcing the formation of a ministerial committee to agree with a private company to maintain aircraft and qualify pilots and technicians.

Ministry spokesman Muhammad Al-Khazali told the (INA): “The file of aircraft for spraying pesticides is old and dates back to the year 2014, and under the current government there was a tendency to revive this file towards re-maintaining these aircraft that were purchased for high sums from Airbus. Pointing out that “there are some difficulties related to these aircraft, and the Council of Ministers issued a decision after a recommendation from the Minister of Agriculture.”
He pointed out that “funds have been allocated for maintenance, and there is a committee formed that will see this issue referred to one of the companies that applied to maintain these aircraft and qualify cadres of pilots, technicians and workers in this field to contribute to the control campaigns carried out by the Ministry throughout the year.”
The Council of Ministers had previously decided to announce a tender for the maintenance of spray aircraft affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture.
