Agriculture allows the export of three crops due to their abundance locally »

Baghdad – IA
The Ministry of Agriculture announced today, Monday, that it allows the export of jet, alfalfa, and yellow corn residues, due to their abundance locally.

Ministry spokesman Hamid Al-Nayef said in a statement received by the (INA), that “approval was obtained to allow the export of jet crops, alfalfa, and yellow corn residues, from all border crossings.”
Al-Nayef pointed out that “the process of allowing the export of these crops came as a result of their abundance locally, and the Ministry had previously prepared a plan to produce these crops and expand their cultivation, which encouraged farmers to increase the cultivated areas to reach their abundance.”
He stated, “This step is important because it encourages farmers to expand the cultivation of these important crops.”
Al-Nayef concluded, “The ministry’s policy is to achieve food security and self-sufficiency on the one hand and export the surplus on the other, in order to maximize the state’s hard currency revenues, which contribute to making the agricultural sector an important figure in the country’s national production.”
