Al-Naft seeks to take advantage of the downtime to restore the team’s ranks »

The management of Al-Naft Sports Club seeks to take advantage of the pause in the Iraq Stars Professional Football League matches, which coincide with the Asian Nations competitions, to restore the team’s ranks and return it to the top clubs’ standings.

Director of the media office of the Oil Sports Club, Jumaa Al-Thamer, told the (INA), today, Monday: “The administrative body met with the training staff of the football team, led by coach Bassem Qasim, to discuss the team’s progress during the league matches, the results that resulted from them, and the team’s position in the rankings.” Stating that “the technical staff provided a comprehensive study of the team’s conditions and general level and worked seriously to take advantage of the downtime to diagnose individual and collective mistakes and overcome the pitfalls that accompanied the team during the last period in order to raise the team’s level and advance towards advanced positions.”
Al-Thamer added, “The administration has expressed its readiness to provide everything the training staff needs, overcome the difficulties facing their work, and go during the downtime to restore the team’s ranks by releasing players and attracting new players.”
Al-Thamer continued, “The oil football team will begin training today, and there is an integrated curriculum and friendly matches to raise the pace of preparation before the return of the league and the start of the Iraq Cup.”
The Al-Naft team occupies eleventh place in the overall standings of the Iraqi Stars Professional League, with 15 points collected from three wins and six draws, while losing only three matches.
