Al-Qassim Club’s media coordinator, Buraq Al-Shammari, confirmed that his team is counting on the result of today’s match against Zakho, which was postponed from the sixth round, in order to move up the rankings before the league stops, coinciding with the start of the Asian Nations Championship in Qatar.

Al-Shammari told the (INA), today, Wednesday: Al-Qasim Club has completed its preparations to face Zakho in the postponed match within the sixth round of the Iraqi Stars Professional Football League, hoping that the reasons that prevented the match from being held previously have been addressed.
Al-Shammari added, “The team is counting on the result of the match in order to rise in the general ranking table, especially since we are waiting for a very important match against Al-Talaba in the next round of the competition. We are also awaiting the decision of the Appeals Committee to resolve the points of our match with Basra Oil and enter among the top ten teams before the league stops with… The Asian Nations Championship begins in Qatar.
Al-Shammari continued, “The technical staff, led by coach Hassan Hadi, prepared for this confrontation, evaluated the team’s performance in the previous match against Najaf, and developed the appropriate plan to overcome the opponent and come out with a positive result that meets the ambition.”
Al-Qassim team occupies fourteenth place in the local league teams table and has 12 points collected from three wins and three draws, while it lost four matches.
