National team coach Jesus Casas confirmed today, Tuesday, that all the players are ready for tomorrow’s match, and I have not set the national team lineup yet.
Casas said during the press conference for the national team’s match against its Vietnamese counterpart scheduled to be held tomorrow, Wednesday, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club for the third round of the fourth group of the ongoing Asian Cup competitions being held in Qatar, and was attended by the correspondent of the (INA), that “tomorrow’s match is important.” After the national team secured qualification to the next round,” he pointed out that “all matches are important in order to improve the team’s performance.”
He added, “There are some players who are a little tired, but everyone is ready for tomorrow’s match against the Vietnam national team, and so far I have not set the squad that will play the match,” noting that “the national team includes (25) players and everyone has the ability to participate in tomorrow’s match.”
Casas explained, “The Iraqi national team players are intelligent and know that winning against Japan is important, but we do not focus on the past. Rather, we focus on the future only because thinking about the past will make the players lose their focus.”
He stated that “the Vietnam match will definitely be different and the team will fight to achieve victory,” noting that “all the players are well prepared for this match,” explaining that “the Vietnam team lost its two previous matches after being very close to obtaining a positive result.”
He continued, “My philosophy and idea in dealing with all players is the same, and in tomorrow’s match I will make some changes because everyone is important to the team and each player has his own skills that must be used correctly if we want to win the match, and everyone must be fully prepared.”
For his part, our national team player (Bashar Rassan) said, “The Iraqi team achieved qualification and aspires to win the three points in the Vietnam match,” stressing that “the spirit of winning is present among all players and the spirit of competition is also present, which has created a great development in the matches, and each team has a special style.” .
