Our national weightlifting team is preparing to participate in the Asian Championship competitions hosted by the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, at the beginning of next February, with wide participation from the champions of the game in the continent, which is considered a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Kazem added, “His federation has developed an ideal preparation plan for the under-17 team, as the weightlifters participated in a training camp held in Erbil Governorate and will last 30 days, under the supervision of the expert Sabah Zaboun and the coaches Hazem Muhammad, Haider Abdullah, and Salam Jabr,” pointing out that “developing the age groups is one of the The priorities of the Executive Office, which still supports the inclusion of this segment in foreign participation, in order to provide the national teams with distinguished young faces for the sustainability of the game.”
