Today, Sunday, the Security Media Cell announced that the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security in the Ministry of Defense had ousted two defendants who traded in antiquities in Babylon.
The spokesman for the Interior and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, said in a statement received by the (INA), that “as part of the series of specific duties carried out by the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense and according to accurate intelligence information, the detachments of the Babylon Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with the same directorate were able to… Two defendants, including a woman, who traded in antiquities, were brought down.
She added, “They were caught red-handed in possession of a valuable antiquity that they were trying to sell. The arrest came after the defendants were lured from Najaf Governorate to Babil Governorate, and in a controlled ambush they were arrested and referred to the judiciary.”
