Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Education announced the suspension of school hours for a week.
The Ministry of Education stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “it was decided to suspend official working hours in all schools, starting from Tuesday, corresponding to 12/12/2023, for a period of one week only, and that work will resume on Wednesday, corresponding to 12/20/2023.” Stating that “the suspension of work hours comes in implementation of the directives of the national government and in preparation for holding local elections for governorate councils and preparing electoral centers within educational institutions.”
She added, “I directed the educational staff and school administrations to cooperate fully with the Supreme Committee and the Independent Election Commission to make this important joint and the national democratic wedding a success.”
