The Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee in the House of Representatives announced, today, Tuesday, a move to amend the laws related to the Ministry of Oil, while indicating the formation of committees regarding that.

Committee member Ali Saadoun Al-Lami told the (INA): “The most important legislation that the committee seeks is the oil and gas law, which has not yet come from the government, and there has been no consensus on it,” indicating that “there are difficulties in approving the law due to the depth of the differences over it.” “.
He added, “The committee is working to review the laws pertaining to the Ministry of Oil,” pointing out that “the ministry’s laws go back 35 years or more, and need amendments, especially the laws pertaining to oil matters.”
Al-Lami continued, “A committee was formed to follow up on the matter with the legality of the Ministry of Oil,” explaining that “there is an amendment to several laws, such as the Refineries Law and other important laws.”
