Baghdad – INA – Hassan Al-Fawaz

The Saudi ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, confirmed today, Wednesday, that many opportunities are being studied in preparation for putting them on the ground during the next few months.

Al-Shammari told the (INA): “The beautiful understanding and harmony between the leaderships of Saudi Arabia and Iraq resulted in the signing of a partnership agreement in the field of industrial investments for the private sector.”

He added, “The Iraq Fund for Development is new and strong and has great coordination with the Public Investment Fund in the Kingdom,” noting that “the agreement is a first opportunity and there are many opportunities being studied and good news will be for the Iraqi people during the next few months.”

He pointed out that “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has entered into all the interests of the Iraqi Development Fund – industrial, infrastructure, real estate and all fields.”

He continued, “The amount of $3 billion is now available at the Public Investment Fund,” noting that “coordination is underway between the Iraq Fund for Development and the Investment Fund to discuss these opportunities and put them on the ground.”
