Press reports revealed that Spanish club Atletico Madrid has joined the race to sign Bilal Khanous, the midfielder of the Moroccan national team and Belgian club Genk, during the current winter transfer period.
Reports indicated that Atletico Madrid renewed its contacts with the Belgian club Genk to sign a contract with Bilal Al-Khanous during the current winter transfer period, at the request of Argentine Diego Simeone, the team’s technical director.
Bilal Al-Khanous’s name was linked to a move to Atletico Madrid in the Mercato last summer, but the deal was not completed due to Belgian Genk exaggerating his financial demands.
The newspaper added that Atletico Madrid will join a three-way race with Italian club Roma and French club Marseille, which are interested in including the 19-year-old Moroccan international player.
