Nottingham Forest won 2-1 over Manchester United to deepen the visiting team’s wounds and achieve two consecutive victories for the first time this season in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Coach Eric Ten Hag’s team occupies seventh place with 31 points after suffering 14 losses in all competitions this season.

In their previous match, United came back from a two-goal deficit to win 3-2, but they failed to maintain their level and in some periods, they presented a mediocre performance, whether in defense or attack.

Nicolas Dominguez opened the scoring in the 64th minute with a shot from the middle of the penalty area.

Marcus Rashford equalized in the 78th minute when Alejandro Garnacho pounced on a weak shot from goalkeeper Matt Turner and played a wonderful cross that Rashford put into the goal.

United’s celebrations did not last long, as Morgan Gibbs-White fired a shot into the net, starting a counterattack that began after Turner brilliantly blocked an attempt from United.

With this win, Forest ranks 15th with 20 points from 20 matches, five points above the relegation zone.

It is worth noting that this victory is Forest’s first victory over United in the Premier League since 1994.
