The coach of the Brazilian Fluminense team, Fernando Diniz, praised his team’s 2-0 victory over Al-Ahly of Egypt yesterday evening, Monday, in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Fluminense coach said in a press conference after the match: “This win satisfies me. We reached the final. We suffered from some tension because we are competing in the Club World Cup for the first time.”
He added: “Al-Ahly is not easy at all. It has previously faced Palmeiras, Corinthians, and Inter Nacional, and each time it presented good levels because it includes experienced and international players from Egypt and Tunisia.”
He continued: “It is not strange for Al-Ahly to defeat the Jeddah Ittihad team, which is full of international stars, and we have to see football differently. Al-Ahly is a collective team and has won the African Champions League 11 times.”
He pointed out that his team played well in the second half and was able to increase the score.
Regarding his expectations for his opponent in the final scheduled for next Friday, Deniz said: “Without a doubt, it is Manchester City. It is one of the greatest teams in Europe, and the champion of the continent.”
He added: “But we have to wait, as everything is possible to happen, and perhaps Japan’s Urawa will pull off a surprise.”
