Sheikh Khazali’s media office said in a statement received by the (INA): “The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, visited today the head of the State of Law coalition, Nouri al-Maliki,” indicating that “during the meeting, political and security developments in the country were discussed, And the continued American attacks on national sovereignty by targeting official government websites, which constitutes a serious and blatant violation of Iraqi sovereignty and blood, and a blatant attack on the Iraqi security forces.”
He added, “The two sides stressed the need for the American forces to leave the country, as their presence has gone beyond an advisory capacity and has become a threat to the countries of the region,” according to the text of the statement.
He continued, “The importance of accelerating the formation of local governments, and investing in political and economic stability in the country, was discussed, to accelerate the provision of basic and urban services to citizens, and to choose governors who are competent, professional, and capable of improving the reality of basic and developmental services that citizens need, so that their work is consistent with the projects, plans, and work of the government.” Federal government and its orientation regarding development projects.
