The Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday that it would take over the security file in Salah al-Din Governorate early next month, while indicating the imminent launch of a new batch of contract appointments.

The Undersecretary for Police Affairs, Lieutenant General Adel Al-Khalidi, told the (INA): “Last year, the Ministry of Interior finally took over the security file in five governorates: Wasit, Al-Muthanna, Diwaniyah, Holy Karbala, and Najaf Al-Ashraf.”
Al-Khalidi added, “The Ministry will be ready to take over the security file in Salah al-Din Governorate at the beginning of next month, when the operations leadership will be replaced by the police leadership.”
Regarding the new appointments, Al-Khalidi confirmed that “there is a new batch of contract appointments in the Ministry of Interior with the same number and quantity as previous contracts.”
