The Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benjin Rekani, inaugurated the Hindiyah District sewage treatment station project in the Holy Karbala Governorate.
A statement by the Ministry of Construction, received by the (INA), stated that “Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benjin Rekani, opened the Hindiyah District Treatment Station project in the Holy Governorate of Karbala, in the presence of its governor, Nassif Al-Khattabi, and the head of the Hajj and Umrah Commission, Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi.”
The minister stated in his speech during the opening, “The Ministry worked in a team spirit with the governorate, to liquidate all lagging projects and prepare to launch other new projects to serve the city of Hussein (peace be upon him) and its esteemed visitors.”
On a related level, the Ministry’s media center stated, “The Hindiyah sewerage project was implemented under the supervision of the Ministry’s General Directorate of Sewerage, and was built on an area of (150) dunums, with a capacity of (24,000) m3/day, to serve approximately (110) thousand people.” Adding: “The project includes basic units and facilities, lifting stations, and basins for removing sand and fats, in order to treat heavy water and produce water suitable for agricultural irrigation and organic fertilizers.”
