The Minister of Finance issues directives to general directors and investigative committees

Today, Thursday, Finance Minister Taif Sami issued a number of directives to the general directors and investigative committees in the ministry, while confirming that the decision on success or not comes after evaluating the achievements presented.

The Ministry of Finance said in a statement received by the (INA): “Today, the Legal Department held an expanded coordination meeting headed by the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, and the membership of Muhammad Hamza, Director General of the Legal Department and the representative of the Federal Integrity Commission. It also included the Directors-General of the Ministry’s departments and its formations of banks and bodies.” And companies, to discuss resolving the issues of the investigative committees formed in the ministry and its affiliated institutions.”

During the meeting, Sami stressed, “the need for general managers to assume their full responsibilities towards implementing plans according to the ministerial curriculum, keeping up with the achievements of the ministry and its departments, following up on the work of the investigative committees in cooperation with the Federal Integrity Commission, submitting their monthly reports in accordance with the decisions of the government program, and emphasizing setting time limits for the work of the committees.” Pointing to “the importance of forming sub-committees to support the work of the investigative teams on the cases presented and the speed of their resolution and submission to the judiciary.”

She emphasized, “The key to the success of general managers or not comes after evaluating the achievements presented within their departments and within the framework of their responsibilities without delay and measuring the seriousness in following up on the tasks of the investigative committees with the Integrity Commission and resolving them in compliance with the standards of integrity and transparency adopted by the Ministry and providing the inventory for preparing the committees.” The investigation required by the Integrity Commission, the investigating judges, and the Financial Supervision Bureau related to financial and administrative corruption within a week, explaining their procedures, and directing legal representatives to record their statements before the judiciary to avoid delays in resolving the cases.

The Minister directed the inclusion committees to submit inventory of their achievements and a statement of inclusion and the amount of amounts collected, pointing out that it is necessary to include legal representatives and members of the investigative committees in anti-corruption courses, whether in the Anti-Corruption Academy, the Judicial Institute, or the courses held by the prosecution. “General”.
