The Prime Minister receives representatives of teachers in Kurdistan and confirms the progress of separating salaries by amending the budget

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Saturday, that the government is not against any movement to demand securing the salaries of teachers in the region.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, today, Saturday, received representatives of the teachers and teachers of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The statement added, “During the meeting, Al-Sudani listened to a comprehensive presentation on the conditions of educational bodies in the governorates of the region, the most important obstacles and problems facing their provision of educational services, the most important ways to improve it, and the social and living conditions of teachers and teachers.”
Al-Sudani confirmed, according to the statement, “The government is continuing its efforts to amend the budget law, in order to separate the salaries file from any complications surrounding the financial files between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq,” noting “the continuation of work with the Parliamentary Finance Committee to achieve the sustainability of salaries for employees of the region.”
He stated, “The government is not against any movement to demand securing the salaries of teachers in the region and ensuring their continuity and stability, and that it places at the top of its endeavors the importance of preserving the rights of the Iraqi people, in all governorates of the country, equally.”
